What We Do

The NZOSL family comprises of five departments who work together to achieve great results while maintaining safe operations for our people and environment.

Terminal Operations

Our terminals are busy places, with multiple activities going on at any one time. Planning for and receiving incoming cargoes, monitoring fuel quality, truck loadings, maintaining and upgrading assets, managing stocks and more, are all part of the daily work cycle. Many of these activities also require risk assessments and permits to ensure that the work is completed safely.

We complete site inspections with WorkSafe on a regular basis and work with regulators, FENZ and industry partners to ensure we have robust emergency response plans in place.

NZOSL terminals store a variety of fuels. The table below shows which terminal stores what fuel(s).

Asset Management

The Asset Management team is responsible for managing maintenance activity as well as managing engineering design and construction projects. Working closely with our asset owners, the team ensures that the assets are maintained and improved in order to reduce risk and deliver value through increased efficiency and standardisation.

At NZOSL, we have stringent engineering controls and operating practices in place. We work closely with Worksafe to ensure NZOSL complies will all regulations and take all practical steps to reduce hazards to a minimum.

Central Office

As well as being the main office for Terminal Operations and Asset Management support, the team at Central Office includes these departments to complete the NZOSL family. We all work together to ensure that everything NZOSL does is always safety focused, efficient, reliable and cost effective.

Risk and Compliance

The Risk and Compliance team supports NZOSL’s risk, safety and environmental framework. They routinely check that activities performed under our Safety Management System are being conducted to a high standard as well as monitoring performance of control measures designed to minimise risk and track corrective actions.

Business Services

Providing centralised support across NZOSL in the areas of Finance, IT and general administration to ensure the smooth running of our business. From payment to our suppliers, through to reporting to and supporting our management, terminals and Board of Directors in an efficient and secure IT environment.

Human Resources

Responsible for managing all things people-related by providing leadership, guidance and support to Line Managers and employees to ensure decisions and actions maximise the relationship between the organisation, our people, performance and wellbeing.
