Project Engineer – Asset Management Team

At NZOSL we’re leaders in bulk fuel handling, operating eight terminals throughout NZ.  Our focus is on the safe and efficient receipt, storage and transfer of products including petrol, diesel and aviation fuels.  Our services include the operation, engineering and maintenance of bulk fuel storage assets.

Our small Wellington-based Asset Management team offers job variety, high engagement as well as a great team environment.

What you will do:

Working closely with the Asset Management and Terminal Operations teams, you will be responsible for ensuring the careful planning, execution and timely delivery of engineering projects.

As the Project Engineer you will:

  • Take ownership of engineering projects from planning to completion
  • Work closely with delivery partners, engineering consultants, contractors and cross functional teams, building your expertise
  • Gain hands-on experience in terminal operations, asset management, and industry best practices
  • Use your problem-solving skills to deliver projects safely, efficiency and on time.

What we are looking for:

  • 3-4 years’ experience in engineering and project management (asset owner, contractor, or engineering consultancy) ideally in mid-stream, high hazard or related industries
  • Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering qualifications
  • Strong communication skills and a knack for building effective relationships
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt in a dynamic, live operating environment
  • Willingness to travel within NZ regularly
