Terminal Operator – Dunedin

We’re looking for an experienced individual from an industrial environment who enjoys variety and being hands-on in the yard combined with office-based tasks. You’ll interact with haulage drivers, contractors and others on site while gaining valuable experience and new skills.

The Role:

As a Terminal Operator, you’ll play a key role in the operational activities that keep our terminal running safely and efficiently. You’ll need:

  • Strong computer literacy and accurate record keeping skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
  • An inquisitive mindset, able to see intuitively how things work.
  • Clear communication and a proactive, can-do attitude
  • Adaptability and unwavering commitment to safety.
  • Good communication skills (both written and oral).

Requirements:

  • 2 years+ operational experience working within an industrial environment.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends when required.
  • A permanent resident living within the Dunedin region.
  • Full New Zealand drivers’ license (no restrictions) and own vehicle.

Our terminals are normally attended Monday to Friday (between 7am and 5pm), with night and weekend work to meet operational requirements outside normal hours, including being on the on-call roster. There will be periods where the terminal has a higher than usual tempo of work so flexibility will be required.
